The London Titan

Description:

Construction of multi-purpose mooring maintenance vessel

Following a competitive tender amongst UK and European yards, we were awarded the contract to build our largest vessel to date and the Port of London Authority’s largest single investment of £7 million.

The London Titan is a river maintenance vessel, tasked with keeping the river clear of obstructions and covers an area including the UK’s second largest port, busiest inland waterway for passengers and freight, and is a centre for sporting and recreational activity.

With a displacement of more than 600 tonnes, 36.5 metres in length, 13.5 metre beam and total installed power of 2300kw, the London Titan has two identical folding cranes which are capable of lifting loads of up to 25 tonnes. The unique design means she can work both at sea and in shallow waters of the Thames as her folding cranes will allow for safe passage through the bridges of central London.
