Manor Marine is the trading name of MPI Services (UK) Limited. The business
was originally founded as a partnership in 1981 and initially concentrated on general construction work.
This involved the provision of a varied range of services both on and off site.
Over the years, many contracts have been undertaken for well known national construction
companies and several of these are described in more detail on the following pages.
In 1990, MPI Services founded a subsidiary company with the aim of expanding the
marine activities of the firm. This coincided with the return of a major ferry company restarting the UK/Channel Islands/France
service.
This new challenge meant that additional skills and specialised equipment were required.
The Companys' fast response time, attention to detail and quality of workmanship have resulted in contracts throughout Europe.
A few of these contracts have been highlighted in this brochure to show the diversity of contracts undertaken by the marine
departments.
The variety of skills available, together with the extensive workshop facilities
have also brought numerous enquiries for Manor Marine to construct individual crafts. To date,
the Company have built vessels ranging from small workboats to a 120 passenger carrying catamaran ferry.
However, despite the variety of contracts handled by the three main divisions, there
is one common factor that is apparent - quality of workmanship. Manor Marine was one of the first Ship Repair Companies
to achieve registration of ISO 9001 in the South West.
As a BS EN ISO 9001:2000 registered Company for manufacturing
and repairs in both the general and marine engineering sectors, the standard of certification shows the Company can provide
a complete service of the highest quality from the planning stage right through to completion.
